Trust Yourself
I've been thinking about what it means to trust yourself.
People say it all the time.
But what are we actually trusting?
Our judgment? Our intuition? Our decisions?
Or are we simply trusting that we'll be okay, even if things don't go the way we hoped?
We've made trust feel more complicated than it needs to be.
Trusting yourself isn't about certainty or always having the right answer.
It's choosing not to ignore yourself while you're looking for an answer.
I've noticed how easy it is to ask everyone else what they think.
Sometimes that's wisdom.
Sometimes it's fear disguised as wisdom.
The difference isn't whether you seek advice.
It's whether you've made room to hear your own voice first.
Advice should inform your decision, not replace it.
I wonder what would happen if we became curious about our own answer before searching for everyone else's.
Because the goal isn't to have the only answer.
It's to make sure your answer isn't missing.
We deserve to trust the one person we spend every moment of our lives with.
What if trust began the moment you stop assuming everyone else knows something you don't?
